Linseed Oil

Linseed oil is particularly rich in unsaturated omega-3 fatty acids like linolenic acid, oleic acid, and linoleic acid and is very rich in vitamin E.

Description

Linseed oil is extracted from the seeds of the flax plant and is particularly rich in unsaturated omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin E. Linseed oil contains a particularly high percentage of linolenic acid (up to 70%), oleic acid (16%), and linoleic acid (15%).

Properties

The omega-3 fatty acids contained in linseed oil have anti-inflammatory properties and can therefore contribute to joint flexibility.
Thanks to its antioxidant properties, the vitamin E contained in linseed oil can help to support a strong immune system and protect the cell walls.

Possible uses

Due to its naturally ingredients (Omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin e), linseed oil in specific doses can have beneficial effects on supporting joint flexibility in horses and promote an overall cell-protecting effect.

Important to know

Linseed oil is one of the few plant-based oils in which the proportion of omega-3 fatty acids exceeds that of omega-6 fatty acids
